Enjoy a unique experience with the Nau-titech Raid

What if trying out a catamaran were no longer just a simple trip, but became a fully immersive experience in real-world conditions ?

With this new format, Nautitech is reinventing the sea trial by offering a unique experience that combines sailing, camaraderie and nautical expertise.

A successful first edition in La Rochelle

On 2 and 3 April 2026, the Nautitech Raid brought together a select group of catamaran enthusiasts to create an exclusive sailing event setting off from La Rochelle.

In the heart of La Rochelle Bay, between Fort Boyard and the Bout du Monde Lighthouse, each route provided the ideal setting to showcase the potential of Nautitech catamarans.

The perfect setting for an authentic sailing experience, combining technical expertise with enjoyment.

Over the course of these two days, each participant had the opportunity to take a catamaran out to sea for a test sail and discover the features and performance of Nautitech catamarans.

Two catamarans, two crews, one question: which one will be the fastest ?

On board the 44 Open and 48 Open, participants took the helm as part of small crews, alongside experts, to embark on a race under real-world conditions.

On the horizon, the regatta was in full swing: two Nautitech catamarans racing side by side, locked in an intense battle from the very start.

With sails established, the Nautitech 44 Open was sailing under genoa, while the Nautitech 48 Open used a self-steering jib.

These rigging choices, suited to stable wind conditions, allowed them to make the most of their respective potential.

The trials of the Nautitech 44 Open and Nautitech 48 Open confirm the brand’s expertise in high-performance, elegant catamarans. On the water, these models stand out for their precise and immediate response at the helm, offering a sailing experience that is fluid, safe and dynamic.

Beyond performance, these trials also highlight the elegance of the Open’s lines – a hallmark of the brand – and the quality of the interior fittings. On board, comfort is ever-present, with spaces designed for life at sea and socialising. Movement remains unhindered despite the presence of the crew, encouraging a natural sense of ownership of the boat and total immersion, which helps to foster a sense of belonging on board.

In these varied sailing conditions, the Nautitech 44 Open demonstrated its full effectiveness in light winds, revealing excellent agility and the ability to maintain its performance even in light conditions. For its part, the Nautitech 48 Open fully expresses its potential as soon as the wind picks up, with increased power and stability that enhance its performance.

The Nautitech 44 Open and the Nautitech 48 Open thus perfectly embody the Nautitech philosophy: combining performance under sail, refined design and on-board comfort for a unique sailing experience.

A meeting with experts and professionals from the boating industry

The Nautitech Raid also offers a unique opportunity to network with recognised industry professionals :

Among them is skipper Julien Pulvé, who has a solid track record in offshore racing and is known for his experience as co-skipper of the IMOCA Maître COQ 5 and stand-in skipper for the 2024 Vendée Globe. His experience has provided a practical, hands-on perspective on the boats’ performance in real-world conditions.

Joining him were the naval architects from Marc

Lombard Yacht Design Group, Henri-Paul Schipman and Lionel Huetz, as well as the sailing yacht Incidence Sails, who shared their expertise, provided technical insights and answered participants’ questions
