The Great Quest – Act III: Heading to Southampton

October 2-3, 2026 Southampton
41 type S, The Great Quest
After two first stages in La Rochelle, The Great Quest continues its journey and crosses the Channel.

On 2 and 3 October 2026, the Nautitech 41 Type S will make its next stop in Southampton for two days of sailing, dedicated to those who want to discover the boat in its natural environment: on the water.

A new stage of the quest begins. This time, we are heading to the UK.

The Great Quest arrives in Southampton

Since its launch, The Great Quest has been driven by one simple idea: to offer a different way to discover the Nautitech 41 Type S.No static display. No rushed dockside visit.

Each stage is designed as a genuine encounter with the boat, in conditions that allow you to understand its philosophy and experience its character under sail.

After La Rochelle, Southampton becomes the new territory for The Great Quest to explore.

For two days, participants will be invited to step aboard the 41 Type S and discover a different approach to cruising catamarans, with the pleasure of sailing firmly at its heart.

A new sailing ground for the 41 Type S

A new destination also means new conditions.

After sailing off the French Atlantic coast, The Great Quest reaches the south coast of England and one of the UK's most renowned sailing areas.

It is a particularly fitting environment in which to experience the choices that shaped the 41 Type S: lightweight architecture, WhisperHull™ hulls, carefully optimised weight distribution and twin aft helm stations that place the helmsman close to both the sensations of the boat and the surrounding environment.

In Southampton, the experience is therefore about more than discovering a new model.

It is an opportunity to see how the boat performs in a new sailing environment.

Discover the boat. More importantly, imagine yourself on board.

Choosing a catamaran also means imagining where it could take you.

A weekend on the water. Several weeks cruising along the European coastline. An ocean crossing. A long-distance sailing adventure.

The Great Quest is designed to make that projection possible.

On board, you will have time to experience the spaces in real conditions: the flow between the cockpit and deck, the visibility from the helm stations, and the connection between the living areas and the sea. Then comes the sailing.

The boat leaves its mooring, the sails are hoisted, and technical specifications gradually give way to sensations. This is when the 41 Type S truly begins to tell its story.

What if Southampton marked the beginning of your own quest?

The Great Quest set out from La Rochelle with one ambition: to introduce the 41 Type S differently, by meeting those who share the same desire to sail. On 2 and 3 October, the quest crosses the Channel. A new destination. New conditions. New crews, and the same boat, waiting to be discovered where it makes the most sense: at sea.
